With temperatures dropping into the upper 20's overnight look for the 1" to 3" of snow to stick an be slick for the morning commute.
More snow will fall tomorrow and totals look to be around 5" by late afternoon, with more north and west and less south and east of the metro area.

More than a thousand tornadoes strike the United States every year according to the National Weather Service. Most tornadoes last less than ten minutes, but can destroy entire communities in that brief time.
