LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) - Police are looking for a bank robber who may be covered in dye and driving a beat up car.

Around 9:30 am Monday, a man robbed the United Community Bank on Stateline Road in Lawrenceburg.

While the suspect made his escape, a dye pack inside the money bag exploded.

A witness described the robber as a white man, about 40 years old between 5'10" to 6' tall with a medium build and wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a mask.  The eye-witness told police he had a getaway driver in a dark colored, older model 4-door sedan,  with a loud muffler and Kentucky license plates.

Police ask anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the robbery, or who may have information in this case to call the Dearborn County Sheriff's Department (812) 537-8711 or the Special Crimes Unit (812) 537-3571.
