HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Hamilton Police and SWAT Team arrested a man after a standoff Thursday afternoon.

A short time before 3 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a disturbance call at the 900 block of Dayton Street. Police say Jay Byrd Begley was destroying his home and would not come out. He also threatened violence and that he would not surrender to officers.

Police discovered that Begley also had an outstanding Robbery warrant.

Hamilton SWAT team was called to the scene. Again, he refused to cooperate with authorities. SWAT deployed a chemical gas into the home and Begley exited the home and was taken into custody.
