FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) -- Police arrested a man in Fairfield after a standoff with police and SWAT team Saturday night.
At 10:00pm, Fairfield Police were called to the 1600 block of Hunter Road to check on the welfare of an unstable man.
Police arrived on the scene and found 40-year-old Kelly Fible in an upstairs room. Officers attempted to speak with Fible, but when they approached him, he pulled out a gun and put it to his head.
Officers then left the home and continued to speak to Fible.
Police was not able to get the suspect to come out of the house and the Hamilton -Fairfield SWAT Team was activated.
For safety reasons several streets were shut down and neighboring homes were evacuated.
Members from the Swat team were able to negotiate with Fible and he exited the home. Kelly Fible was taken into custody and charged with Inducing Panic.
He is currently being held at the Butler County Jail.
