CINCINNATI (FOX19) – A Butler County courtroom is expected to be packed with emotion Monday morning as the trial of two teenagers begins in the stabbing death of Lakota West sophomore Amber Robinson.

Within hours of Robinson's stabbing death on Sept. 10, 2009, police had one suspect, Khrendon Gray, behind bars. A day later, a second teen, Rashon Martin, was also in police custody tied to the Amber's murder.

Monday, both teen suspects will begin their trial in a Butler County courtroom.

It's a day Amber Robinson's family has been waiting for.

"Justice for Amber, you know there is not really any word that I can say, to me nothing will bring her back," said Amber's mother, Tascha Robinson.

Amber's family gathered at the Robinsons' West Chester home preparing them for the start of this trial and talked to us about the last time they heard from the Lakota West High School sophomore.

"I talked to her twice after school the last time was about 5:30 p.m.," said Tascha Robinson.

Around 8 p.m. the night of Amber's murder, West Chester Police say she tried to break up a fight outside the North Pointe Townhomes, and she was stabbed in the heart and bled to death.

Amber's older brother, Shawn Elliott, says reliving that day in court will be painful but justice for Amber needs to happen.

"I got to take it one day at a time, cause if I don't, you're going to think about it too much and you're going to do something that you're going to regret, so I just take it one day at a time, I try to talk to my mom and dad about it but I just can't wait till Monday," said Elliott.

Amber's mother agrees and has no words for the men police say killed her only daughter.

"To me nothing will bring her back and it was all senseless," said Tascha Robinson.

Jury selection in this trial is scheduled to begin Monday morning.
