Jacquie, James and Aidan Vogel

Aidan Vogel just turned seven years old.  Spend a little time with the Vogels and you wouldn't realize that Aidan has spent more time in the hospital than many of us have in our entire lifetime.  Aidan was born with major heart defects.  When he was one week old, he had his first surgery and he had his second surgery six months later.  You wouldn't know any of this unless we told you because Aidan is a normal seven year old who enjoys baseball, soccer and karate. Myria, Chad and Arlington Johnson

Arlington was born prematurely only 25 weeks into Myria's pregnancy. At birth, she weighed 1 pound, 3 ounces. Because of her premature birth, she suffered from a heart defect that required surgery. Following surgery, doctors worried that she would only survive a couple of days. Myria and Chad insisted that she be treated with steroids and she beat the odds. Arlington didn't go home for six months and required supplemental oxygen until last year. More>>

Causey Johnson and his parents Angela and Carl Dyer

Causey Johnson looks like any other 11 year old, but he's been through a lot already. He started complaining of headaches early in 2006. When the symptoms progressively became worse, his mom took him to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Doctors discovered a cyst in a pocket of the brain that had to be removed. The doctors performed brain surgery just 24 hours later and Causey was able to go home after just a couple of days. More>>

Megan and Connie Doherty

Connie Doherty and her 15-year old daughter Megan know first-hand about the miracles created at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Megan was in a car accident in June 2006 while on vacation with a friend's family in Florida. Megan suffered a severe head injury, orthopedic injuries, a shattered hip and other internal injuries. The medical staff helped Connie get her seriously injured daughter back to Cincinnati from an intensive care unit in Florida. More>>
