FOX19 Follow Up: More information on rock-throwing case

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati Police are working hard it find out who threw rocks at cars on Columbia Parkway over the weekend.

The rocks were about the size of a hand or a fist, and police believe whoever did this found the rocks near the train tracks that run near Columbia Parkway.

Police have released the 9-11 calls about Joyce Baresel, who was riding in a taxi-cab when got badly hurt by one of the flying rocks.

"There's rocks in my back and she is just full of blood, she's bleeding out of her eye. Something happened. I don't know. I felt like I hit--a noise like I hit something, but I didn't see anything on the road, and there's a rock in the back of my car," the cab driver said in the 911 call.

Police say the rock went through the open window and hit Baresel in the head. Her condition is unknown at this time.

Police do say about 10 other cars were damaged by these rocks. Investigators believe it was likely young kids that did this and say it's criminal.

"We take it very seriously because this is a major safety issue, somebody could have been hit or killed, somebody was hurt, and it could have been a lot worse," said Det. Will Kinney with Cincinnati Police.

Police also say they will be using maps to try and show them clues about woods around Columbia Parkway, looking for forts and kids camps that might help them find the person who did this.
