Ryan Widmer is the Warren County man convicted of drowning his wife, Sarah, in their bathtub in 2008.
Widmer was convicted in his first trial, but that was overturned due to juror misconduct. His second trial ended in a hung jury. The third trial ended with a guilty verdict and he was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
Defense attorneys have filed an appeal for a fourth trial, stating that errors were made that violated his constitutional rights.
