Caakkee Trruuffffllee Crreeaattiioonnss from Jordan Brown (Dessert) Read It! (Read your recipe all the way through before you begin!) Place It! (Get everything out and ready to cook!) 1 package (18.25 oz.) cake mix 1 container (16 oz.) prepared cake frosting 1 1/2 pounds of white or chocolate almond bark Food coloring, optional Mixer bowl Mixer Baking tray Wax paper Microwave-safe bowl Wooden spoon Toothpicks Melon baller (Time to cook!) Create It! 1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Allow cake to cool for 30 minutes. 2. Crumble cake into mixer bowl. Add frosting and mix until well combined. Place the bowl in the freezer for 30-45 minutes. 3. Line a baking tray with wax paper. Use a melon baller to form balls with the cake mixture and place on wax paper. Place the tray of cake balls in the freezer for 1 hour. 4. Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Place in microwave; heat on HIGH, stirring every 5-10 seconds until smooth. Add food coloring to white chocolate at this time if desired. 5. Remove the balls from the freezer. Using a toothpick, pick up the balls one at a time and dip in the chocolate. Use a second toothpick to slide the ball off the first toothpick onto the wax paper lined baking tray. (If the balls fall off the toothpick into the chocolate, they are not firm enough to work with and you will need to place back in the freezer to firm up.) 6. Once you have covered all the balls in chocolate coating, place the tray in the refrigerator until the chocolate coating is set. You can drizzle other chocolate on the balls for decoration.
