I like to think of myself as a fearless explorer. With mud on my skirt and leaves in my pigtails, I was the little girl running around Wilmington and discovering new things. As a reporter, I've flown in tiny planes, petted pit bulls, and asked politicians the tough questions. Now I'm tackling the great city of Cincinnati as your Traffic Reporter at Fox 19. There's nothing I'm not scared of! Well, besides spiders and scrapple.
Although no one can say they're passionate about traffic, I love helping you get to work on time and off on the right foot. As nerdy as it sounds, I love maps, mornings, and finding the best route for you every day. Oh, and I believe GPS devices are the work of the devil.
I followed my explorer's instinct by studying Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia. My first TV job was at MTV News, where I covered the 2008 presidential election in the Choose Or Lose political news program. (If you need new driving tunes, I'm your girl!) In NYC I worked as the Host of the Press TV foreign affairs talk show, Hearts and Minds (If you have a fear of heights, filming from a 6th floor ledge above Central Park will cure it). I braved beltway traffic commuting from College Park to Capitol Hill as an intern for Anderson Cooper:360 in Washington. After graduating from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism masters program, I was ready to get out of the Mid-Atlantic, see new things, and meet new people!
I'm thrilled to call Cincinnati home and experience all it has to offer. If you see me at Oakley Playground throwing around a ball or in Hyde Park grabbing a bite with my girlfriends, give me a holler! I'd love to meet you.
