On Saturday April 30, 2011 the running of the 10K, 5K and Kids 1K will take place. The following streets will be affected starting at 7AM until 12PM:

  • Second Street- All of Second Street will be closed
  • Central Avenue- closed between Third Street to W Pete Rose Way
  • Mehring Way- closed between Central Avenue and E Pete Rose Way
  • Elm Street- closed south of Third Street
  • Race Street- closed south of Third Street
  • Vine Street/ Rosa Parks Blvd- closed south of Third Street
  • Walnut Street- closed south of Third Street
  • Main Street/ Joe Nuxhall Way- closed south of Third Street
  • Broadway- closed south of Fourth Street (southbound allowed between Fourth and Third)
  • Third Street- reduced to one lane westbound between Broadway and Clay Wade Bailey Bridge
  • Third Street- eastbound closed between Clay Wade Bailey Bridge and Central Avenue
  • Third Street- closed between Eggleston Avenue and Pike Street (local resident access maintained)
  • Third Street ramp from southbound I-71- Closed
  • Third Street ramp from westbound Columbia Pkwy- Closed
  • Pike Street- closed between Third Street and Fourth Street (local resident access maintained)
  • Butler Street- closed between Third Street and Culvert Street
  • Culvert Street- closed between Third Street and Reedy St
  • Reedy Street- closed between Broadway and Eggleston Avenue
  • Seventh Street- closed between Broadway and Culvert Street
  • Sentinel Street- closed between Fifth Street and Eggleston Avenue
  • Eggleston Avenue- southbound only closed between Reedy Street and E Pete Rose Way
  • Columbia Parkway- westbound only closed west of I-471 ramp
  • Taylor Southgate Bridge- CLOSED
  • Suspension Bridge- CLOSED
  • Clay Wade Bailey Bridge- CLOSED
  • E Pete Rose Way- closed between Eggleston and Old Broadway

On Sunday May 1, 2011 the following street will be closed at 4:00 AM to allow for staging and the start of the race:

  • Mehring Way- between Central Avenue and E Pete Rose Way

The following streets will be closed as needed, starting at 5:00 AM on Sunday May 1, 2011. The limits are listed and the direction closed is in parenthesis ( ). Crossings will be allowed with Police or volunteer assistance:

  • Main Street- from Mehring Way to Third Street (All)
  • Third Street- from Main Street to Broadway (All)
  • Broadway- from Taylor Southgate Bridge to Third Street (All)
  • Taylor Southgate Bridge- from Kentucky to Ohio (All)
  • Clay Wade Bailey Bridge- from Kentucky to Ohio (All)
  • Third Street- from Gest Street to the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge (All)
  • Linn Street- from West Eighth Street to Third Street (Westbound/Northbound)
  • West Eighth Street- from Linn Street to Seventh Street (Eastbound)
  • (Sunday affected streets continued)
  • Seventh Street- from Central Avenue to Gilbert Avenue (All- Vehicles from the garage at Seventh and Broadway will be permitted to exit at Seventh Street and continue across Broadway to E Seventh St)
  • Central Avenue- from Seventh Street to Sixth Street (All)
  • Plum Street- from Eighth Street to Seventh Street (All)
  • Elm Street- from Sixth Street to Seventh Street (All)
  • Race Street- from Garfield Place to Seventh Street (All)
  • Vine Street- from Sixth Street to Seventh Street (All)
  • Walnut Street- from Eighth Street to Seventh Street (All)

  • Wasson Road – from Eastern Hills Lane to Marburg (Eastbound)
  • Eastern Hills Lane – from Wasson Road to Terminus (Southbound) (One Westbound lane will be open to access Eastern Hills Lane from Marburg to enter only)
  • Marburg Road – from Wasson Road to Erie Avenue (Southbound)
  • Erie Avenue – from Marburg Avenue to Bramble Avenue (Eastbound)
  • Bramble Avenue – from Erie Avenue to Settle Avenue (Eastbound)
  • The Race proceeds into Mariemont and Fairfax, then returns on inbound US-50/Columbia Parkway
  • US-50/Columbia Parkway – from the Cincinnati Corporation Line to US-50/Eastern Avenue off ramp (Right hand westbound lane closed. Westbound Ramp is closed to Eastern Avenue)
  • Ramp from Red Bank Road to Westbound Columbia Parkway - (Closed)
  • Eastern Avenue – from US-50/Columbia Parkway to Stanley Avenue (Westbound)
  • Stanley Avenue – from Eastern Avenue to Kellogg Avenue (Southbound)
  • Kellogg Avenue – from Stanley Avenue to Worth Street (Westbound)
  • Riverside Drive – from Worth Street to E. Pete Rose Way (Eastbound)
  • E. Pete Rose Way – from Riverside Drive to Old Broadway (All)
  • Old Broadway – (All)

The Half Marathon will follow the same course and turn back at Woodburn Avenue & Madison Road. The following streets will be closed as needed. The limits are listed and the direction closed is in parenthesis ( ).

  • Madison Road- from Woodburn to Victory Parkway (Eastbound)
  • M.L.King - from Victory Parkway to Gilbert Avenue (Eastbound)
  • Gilbert Avenue - from ML King to Eden Park Drive (Northbound)
  • Sinton Avenue- from Gilbert Avenue to Nassau Street (All)
  • Nassau Street- from Sinton Avenue to Gilbert Avenue (All)
  • Elsinore Place – from Reading Road to Gilbert Avenue (All)
  • Reading Road- from Elsinore Place to Central Parkway (Northbound)
  • Central Parkway- from Eggleston Avenue to Vine Street (All)
  • Eggleston Avenue- from Central Parkway to E Pete Rose Way (Southbound)

Both races finish at E Pete Rose Way between Broadway and Old Broadway (in front of US Bank Arena)
