CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

It appears these days without even having to think about it.

Your laptop, your smartphone automatically find WiFi hotspots and – if you've logged into a particular hotspot before – logs you on before you even realize it.

But that public WiFi connection you use in airports, fast food restaurants, or over a relaxing cup of coffee is putting your whole electronic life in incredible danger, a FOX19 investigation has found.

And it doesn't even take a sophisticated hacker anymore.

Your secret passwords to Facebook, Twitter, and perhaps even your bank can be "sniffed" out and automatically downloaded onto a nearby laptop thanks to some cunning (and cruel) new software.

The programs are so easy to use that you don't have to have a lot of knowledge about computers and code anymore.

Investigative reporter Matthew Nordin is uncovering the dangers for you and talks with the CEO of a company that has a product PC World recommends to keep you safe.

You'll also meet a woman whose WiFi connection was hacked – leading to her bank account being drained of thousands of dollars.
