Sex offender allegedly mooned school bus, twice

TAYLORSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Spencer County sex offender is accused of mooning a school bus full of children on two consecutive days.

The Spencer County Sheriff's office said Michael Lewis, 35, stood in his yard on Isaac Way and mooned a school bus carrying children. Lewis was first arrested on August 15 and charged before being released. He allegedly committed the same crime the very next day.

Lewis is a convicted sex offender and required to register for life.

According to the Kentucky State Police sex offender registration system, he was convicted of endangering the welfare of a minor under the age of 14 in New Jersey.

Lewis is charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, two counts of terroristic threatening in the second degree and two counts of indecent exposure in the third degree.
