    An upbeat Joey Votto was back in the Reds clubhouse Wednesday, a day after surgery on his left knee.
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Reds all-star Joey Votto is scheduled to begin a two-day injury rehabilitation assignment with the Dayton Dragons on Tuesday.

Votto played for the Dragons in 2003 and 2004, appearing in 171 games over those two seasons.

Votto originally had surgery to repair a torn meniscus back in July.

Votto experienced soreness recently which an MRI revealed to be caused by a floating piece of cartilage.

His best season with the Dragons came in '04 when he batted .302 with 14 homers and 73 RBI in 111 games.
