CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Cincinnati Police Chief James Craig is challenging a longstanding rule requiring police officers new to Ohio to take an entry-level test.
Craig has been in the news lately for publicly refusing to take the test which is meant to qualify those from out of state as a police officer in Ohio. Craig has declined to take the test because he says that it discriminates against experienced potential candidates for police agency jobs who come from outside of the state.
The Chief has already changed rules on police dress and work schedules in an effort to improve officers' working environment and to boost morale.
