ANDERSON COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – A mother, grandmother and step father are facing after admitting they tied up a 3-year-old girl.

According to court documents, the mother of the child, Rebecca Jackson, 30, and the grandmother of the child, Carolyn Case, 60, admitted to tying the 3-year-old girl to her bed every night for hours at a home on Terri Lane in Lawrenceburg.

Investigators said Jackson and Case laced a curtain sash through the arm holes of the child's shirt and fastened her to her bed with a large safety pin from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for about two months.

The report also stated they would tie the girl to a booster seat in a kitchen chair for daily discipline.

Case told police the girl was getting into things and she tied her down for fear she might get out of the house.

Herbert Medley, 53, Jackson and Case are charged with first-degree criminal abuse in the case.
