CARROLL COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -
A 74-year-old man is recovering after a tractor-trailer accident on KY 36 on Wednesday.
Charles Hilanan was driving the tractor-trailer when authorities say he got too close to the right shoulder and his tires slipped off the shoulder. The rear of the trailer struck a telephone pole before he was able to get the trailer back on the road.
The vehicle traveled across both lanes of traffic and came to a rest along the left side of the road around 10:30 a.m. near Nugent Sand.
Hilanan suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Carroll County Hospital for treatment.
