CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Reds are playing the San Francisco Giants in the decisive Game 5 of the NLDS.

Whoever wins will move onto the National League Championship Series.

"Right now we're back to one game," said Reds manager Dusty Baker before the game. "This is a very, very important game."

The Reds have not lost three home games in a row all season long.

"We're in our ballpark.  Where else would you rather have this game played?" said Baker. "I mean, look at our record in day games, our record at home here and things point toward us winning the game today."

Mat Latos is taking the mound for the Reds against Matt Cain for the Giants. Latos has pitched well in his career against the Giants.

"You hope that Latos takes us deep into the game," said Baker. "Naturally we're not just saying it's all hands on deck, but right now it's Latos' game and we hope that he can take us deep, deep, deep into the game and we can have a big offensive day.  That would be primo right now."

The Reds' 1:07 start time wasn't decided until after Oakland beat Detroit Tuesday night. Because of Major League Baseball TV scheduling, the starting time of the game was up in the air depending on whether Detroit and Oakland were playing another game Thursday.

Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory is encouraging businesses to decorate their windows with red, and for everyone in the city to wear red on Thursday, whether they are going to the game or not.

FOX Sports Ohio said the attendance at Thursday's game was 44,142, the fourth largest crowd in stadium history.
