Cincinnati Public School officials cut the ribbon on a newly renovated building on Wednesday.

Mt. Washington School, located on Mears Avenue, received a $14.8 million renovation.

Students in preschool through eighth grade attend Mt. Washington. They will enjoy improvements like new heating and air conditioning systems and an additional wing added to the building with a gym, auditorium and cafeteria.

The school also has a new Community Learning Center to serve students, families and members of the community.

CPS Superintendent, Mary Ronan, was at the ribbon cutting, as well as the school's principal, Debra Klein.

Students performed musical selections for guests at the ribbon cutting, who have been using a former Hyde Park school for the past three years.
