The cases of hundreds of ticketed drivers were dismissed after a problem with the computers.
Residents showing up to handle speeding tickets saw a sign posted on the door, which read, "If you are scheduled for court today, you will be found not liabable (your case is dismissed)".
Elmwood Place has been under heavy scrutiny since installing speed cameras several months ago.
Hundreds of people have been mailed tickets after the cameras caught them driving too fast through the village.
