Light snow showers will continue Friday morning through the early afternoon.

Cold temperatures, combined with howling winds will make it feel bitter cold all day long.  Highs today will hold steady in the low 30s, but the wind chills will read in the teens all day long.  Winds will be 20-30 mph gusting as high as 50 mph.

As the storm system pushes east, clouds will clear out this evening, making for a very cold Saturday morning, in the low 20s.  Sunshine will be around both Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the mid to upper 30s.

A wind advisory remains in effect until 4 p.m. Friday for the entire FOX19 viewing area.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. for Fayette, Union, Franklin, Butler, Clinton and Warren counties.

Road crews have been out treating roads, but there are some slick spots, especially on elevated roads and bridges. Motorists are advised to use caution and allow extra time for travel.

The high winds have also caused widespread damage and downed trees. About 1,500 Duke Energy customers were without power on Friday morning.
