After being shut down for almost 13 hours, southbound Interstate 75 is now reopen.
A semi truck jack-knifed on SB 75 near Mitchell Avenue at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
The accident completely shut down the southbound side until 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning. The truck came to a rest on top of the median.
The truck was carrying 40,000 pounds of aluminum cans. Crews had to transfer all of the cans to another semi truck.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, but icy conditions could be to blame. The driver was not injured.
