Three different accidents were reported on the Norwood Lateral on Wednesday evening.
Dispatchers say the vehicles all spun out due to icy roads.
No injuries were reported at any of the accidents, but the westbound side was completely closed.
Traffic was diverted as crews worked to clear the scene.
Officials say salt trucks will be called in to salt the highway, and then it will be reopened.
