GREENDALE, IN (FOX19) -

Greendale Police Department is investigating the theft and fraudulent use of a credit card from the Holiday Inn in the City of Greendale on the night of Dec. 28 or the morning of Dec. 29.

The victim reported that she was staying at the Holiday Inn with her children and believes the cards were stolen along with her purse while she was possibly asleep in her room.

The victim advised that her children were going in and out of the room leaving the dead bolt latch to prop the door open so they did not need the key to re-enter the room. The victim reported her purse stolen contained, wallet containing several credit cards and other items with her personal information. The victim also advised the most prized possession in the purse was the only photo in existence of her 10-year old son's biological Haitian mother.

Police tracked the cards being used on Dec. 29 at the Steak and Shake in Forest Park and the Circle K gas station on Hamilton Avenue. The suspect was possibly driving a silver vehicle.

Anyone who can identify the person in the photo should call Det. Kendle Davis with Greendale Police at 812-537-1321.
