SHARONVILLE, OH (FOX19) -

A Georgia man was arrested in a Sharonville hotel on Thursday after he allegedly produced fake identification cards and used printed UPC codes to scam businesses.

Police say that James Chamberlain, 46, produced multiple fraudulent Wisconsin and Kentucky driver's licenses under fictitious names. Chamberlain used these IDs to commission merchandise- return schemes in several states.

Reports indicate that Chamberlain used printed UPC codes to obtain merchandise for a price cheaper than the product's value. The merchandise was then returned to the store for the full value price of the product.

Police tracked Chamberlain and produced a warrant to search his room at the LivINN Hotel in Sharonville. Police found fake identification cards, materials and computers used to manufacture the cards, and heroin.

Chamberlain has been charged with money laundering, possession of drugs , possessing criminal tools and forgery. He is being held in Hamilton County jail with a $2,500 bond.
