WHITESBURG, KY (WAVE) - A boy who won his battle against cancer died after a tragic accident.

On Monday, Logan Howard, 5, drove a battery-powered Jeep under a trampoline and got pinned between the trampoline and the vehicle.

Logan was given CPR at the scene, but died on the way to the hospital.

In 2011, Logan's mother, Jaimie Sparks, learned her then 3-year-old son had beaten cancer. "If he met you, you were automatically touched. He just had this smile, and his personality," Sparks said of her son.

Logan's family members said he lost an eye as a result of cancer and he may not have seen the trampoline.
