Hughes out, NDA Advances in Kentucky

Cincinnati, OH (FOX19) - A dream season came to an end Thursday for Hughes High School. Defending division II state champion Dayton Dunbar knocked off the Big Red 69-60.

Terry Cook and Dwight Nared each finished with 16 points for Hughes. A win would have put Hughes in a Regional title game for the first time since 1956.

At the Kentucky girls Sweet 16 in Bowling Green, Notre Dame Academy went to overtime with Madison Central before pulling out a 57-53 win. The Pandas advance to play Marshall County.
