MADISONVILLE, OH (FOX19) -
Police are investigating a shooting in Madisonville on Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened on the 4200 block of Whetsel Avenue around 3 p.m.
Police say that a man in a gold Ford Fusion was shot while driving his vehicle on Whetsel Avenue. The car crashed into a nearby house after the shooting.
Authorities say the victim was being chased by an assailant.
The victim got out of the car after the shooting and walked down a nearby street. Police found the victim collapsed next to a dumpster on Bramble Avenue.
Authorities say eight shots were fired at the victim. One shot hit the victim in the neck.
There has been no report on the extent of the victim's injuries.
