Holy Cross basketball coach resigns

COVINGTON (FOX19) - Head coach Erik Goetz is leaving the Holy Cross basketball program.

"The primary reason is my desire to pursue a job in a public school system for increased financial stability," said Goetz in an e-mail.  "Doing so now will allow Holy Cross to begin the process of finding a new coach."

Goetz called it a "difficult day" after spending the past 23-years at Holy Cross as a player and coach.

Goetz compiled a 129-84 record his 8 seasons as head coach and led the Indians to the 2012 All A State Classic title.
