TOMBSTONE, AZ (CBS5) -

Cochise County deputies and officers from the Tombstone Marshal's Office discovered a pipe bomb in a house where a man's body was found late Thursday.

The city marshal's office called Cochise County around midnight after the man's body was found in the home across from a KOA campground, said Carol Capas of the Cochise County Sheriff's Office.

Officers suspected the pipe bomb and the CCSO bomb squad and two technicians from the Arizona Department of Public Safety were sent to Tombstone, Capas said.

The residence and other outbuildings contained the pipe bomb, about five pounds of ammonium nitrate, electric and non-electric blasting caps, a binary high explosive and a large amount of fuse, Capas said.

The explosive were disposed of safely, Capas said.

There was no identification or cause of death released for the man found in the home.

The Tombstone Marshals Office continues the investigation, Capas said.
