MOUNT WASHINGTON, OH (FOX19) -

A Roman Catholic bishop who reportedly in November performed an exorcism about gay marriage, is coming to Cincinnati to discuss same-sex marriage.

Most Rev. Thomas J. Paprocki, bishop of Springfield, Ill., will speak at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Athenaeum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary's Seminary of the West, 6616 Beechmont Ave., Mount Washington.

"Bishop Paprocki will explain the Catholic teaching on same-sex marriage with truth and love," the Athenaeum of Ohio said in a statement. "He is a courageous civil and canon lawyer who was thrust into the national spotlight in 2013 when he publicly opposed legalization of same-sex marriage in Illinois."

The talk -- in Bartlett Pastoral Center on the Athenaeum's campus -- is open to the public. Seating is limited.
