NEWPORT, KY (FOX19) -
Authorities have increased the reward to $2,500 for the arrest of a Newport man who is wanted for attempted murder.
Jamie S. Holt is wanted in connection with an assault and attempted murder of a woman at the victim's home on Fayette Circle in Fort Wright. The incident was reported on Jan. 18. Police have said the woman and Holt are acquaintances.
Holt is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
He was last known to live at 12 Bricker Lane in Newport. Authorities said his criminal history includes disorderly conduct, assault on a
police officer and drug charges.
Anyone with information regarding Holt's whereabouts is asked to call Fort Wright Police at 859-331-2191.
