Winter weather advisory issued for several Tri-State counties.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the following counties:

  • Ohio: Hamilton, Clermont, Brown and Adams.
  • Kentucky: Carroll, Gallatin, Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Owen, Grant, Pendleton and Bracken
  • Indiana: Ohio, Switzerland, Ripley and Dearborn

FOX19 Meteorologist Steve Horstmeyer said it's looking more and more like a wet snow event beginning Friday afternoon and ending during the early evening hours.

Temperatures as the snow falls will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s and that means a wet snow event. With tons of salt in place on the roads already, major roads will be wet as the snow comes down for the evening commute.

Rural areas will once again see problems, especially on roads where ice and snow persist.

Accumulations look to be 2 to 4 inches beginning around 1 p.m., give or take a bit for your easterly or westerly position within the FOX19 viewing area

Roads might be covered with limited visibility so drivers are encouraged to except delays and use caution when driving.

If you want to take the Metro instead, snow detour information is listed on their website at www.go-metro.com
