CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Hamilton County grand jury has indicted an Erlanger man on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and other charges in connection with the Jan. 16 death of a pedestrian in Avondale.

Ryan Culver, 23, is also charged with one count of aggravated vehicular assault and one count of vehicular assault. All of the charges against Culver are felonies of varying degrees.

If convicted of all charges, he faces 13 years in prison on the most serious charges and a lifetime Ohio driver's license suspension, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters' office said Friday.

Prosecutors say Culver was driving a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am at approximately 3 p.m.  Jan. 16 at the intersection of Glenwood and Vine streets in North Avondale.

Culver's vehicle hit two pedestrians as they were standing on the sidewalk in a residential area. His estimated speed was 67 mph in a 35 mph zone. When Cincinnati Police and other first responders arrived, Culver was in the driver's seat non-responsive.

Monisa Barnes, 43,  was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center where she died the next day from injuries sustained in the incident. The other pedestrian -- a 12-year-old girl -- was seriously injured but has since been release from a hospital.

Culver was arrested Jan. 25 in Covington and is being held at the Kenton County Detention Center pending extradition to Ohio.

Culver is also charged with being under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Police have said he was under the influence of heroin at the time.
