HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

The victim involved in a January 31 shooting in Hamilton, Ohio has died following injuries sustained from the incident.

Derrick Brown died at UC Medical Center after being shot multiple times following an altercation on January 31. The incident happened at the Indian Springs Apartment Complex, located in the 300 block of Hampshire Drive.

Officers arriving on the scene say they found Derrick Brown in the parking lot of the complex. Authorities say that Brown was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested following a shooting. Christopher Parks of Hamilton, Ohio was arrested on February 6.

Following an investigation, police say Brown was the primary aggressor in the altercation. A grand jury later indicted Brown for attempted murder, felonious assault and possessing weapons under disability.

Parks has been charged with possessing a weapon while under disability. Police say the investigation is complete and no further charges are anticipated.
