MOUNT WASHINGTON (FOX19) -

A man has been taken into custody after a Sunday morning SWAT standoff in Mt. Washington.

According to police documents, a woman called 911 stating that she was assaulted by Austin Graves, 30, at an apartment in the 1800 block of Sutton Avenue. Upon arrival, Graves refused to allow police entry in to the apartment.

Graves reportedly threatened responding officers with violence if they did not leave, and instructed the woman, the mother of his child, to not open the door. Police say Graves was under the influence during the standoff.

SWAT units were called to assist in the situation and adjacent apartments were evacuated.

Officials eventually apprehended Graves and arrested him on charges of Inducing Panic, Unlawful Restraint, and Domestic Violence. He is scheduled to be arraigned in court March 17.
