Lockland Police have arrested a Lockland man on an aggravated murder charge, accusing the 26-year-old of killing a woman who resided on the same street as his grandmother.
Police responded Tuesday to a home in the 300 block of Arlington Avenue to check on a 65-year-old woman who called Life Alert and said she'd been stabbed. Officers found Wanda Glenn lying on the floor dead with several knife wounds. She was on the kitchen floor with a knife protruding from the rear of her neck, according to court documents. Police said the knife, a kitchen tool, belonged to Glenn.
Authorities said they found the bloody fingerprint of Daniel Johnson on a white envelope that was in a desk drawer inside Glenn's residence. Police said "the desk drawers appeared to have been riffed through by the perpetrator during the incident."
Johnson said during an interview at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office that he did not enter Glenn's home Tuesday and he had no knowledge of a crime being committed.
Johnson is lodged in the Hamilton County Justice Center.
