CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

An Avondale man has been indicted on one count of aggravated murder, two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated burglary in connection with a reported former death row inmate's homicide on Sunday.

Officers were called around 8 p.m. to the 3500 block of Alaska Avenue. Police say the initial investigation led officers to believe Lee Henley died of natural causes. However, officials say it was later discovered Henley was killed.

Authorities say they later identified Nigel Pitts, 24, as the suspect. His last known address was the same apartment building in which Henley was found dead. Officials issued a warrant for Pitts' arrest Wednesday morning. He was arrested a short time later.

The Associated Press, citing a Cincinnati Enquirer story, said Henley is a former death row inmate who served time for killing a store clerk in 1964.

Pitts is being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center.
