ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) -

One man is dead and an interstate ramp is closed following an accident in Erlanger.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. Thursday on the northbound I-71/75 ramp to eastbound I-275. Police said a motorcycle and tractor trailer collided, killing the motorcyclist.

The victim has been identified as Douglas Withrow, 50, of Ft. Mitchell. The tractor trailer driver, Waylon Miles of Georgetown, Ind., was not injured.

A third vehicle was involved and police said the driver was also not injured.

The ramp from Donaldson to northbound I-71/75 and I-275 remains shut down. Police say it could potentially be closed for the majority of Friday.

The tractor trailer was hauling paint thinner and hazmat crews were called in to handle acetone leaking from the trailer. Authorities say the chemicals are a hazard to soil in the area.
