Following startling success in 2013, LumenoCity is returning for an encore this August with a few changes.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra is expanding the free concert experience at Cincinnati's Washington Park for three dates: August 1, 2 and 3.

Approximately 35,000 people came out over two nights for LumenoCity 2013. Free, general admission tickets are being issued this year due to the extreme popularity and demand of the previous shows.

There are 12,500 tickets available each night for this year's three performances – a total of 37,500 tickets total. You can reserve up to four tickets per household on Monday at lumenocity2014.com.

Event representatives say they've significantly increased the number of and access to facilities and concessions this year. If you don't have tickets to the show, A LumenoCity village will be set up outside the event where free performances, food and crafts will be on hand.

The event promises new heart-pounding musical performances, stunning animation projected onto the façade of historic Music Hall, and a few surprises.

The 2014 LumenoCity concert performances will begin at 8:30 p.m. each of the three evenings with John Morris Russell conducting the Cincinnati Pops. After a brief intermission, Music Director Louis Langrée will lead the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra for an amazing 40-minute display of sound and light.
