Police have identified the man that was killed in a Mt. Airy fire early Wednesday morning.
Fire crews were called to a business in the 5000 block of Colerain Avenue just before 4 a.m.
Ralph Mathes, 62, was removed from the building and taken to Mercy West Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Officials say they do not believe the fire is suspicious. Damage to the building is estimated at about $100,000. According to fire crews, the fire was under control within 30 minutes. The cause is still unknown at this time.
