Man arrested in connection with Deerfield Chick-fil-A robbery

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

The Warren County Sheriff's Office arrested on Tuesday a Hamilton man in connection with a robbery of a Deerfield Township Chick-fil-A restaurant.

Brian J. Hacker, 34, will be charged with robbery and breaking and entering.

Deputies were dispatched at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday to the restaurant located at 5150 Merten Drive. 

The sheriff's office said a male suspect took a woman's purse and then fled on foot. An off-duty Monroe Police officer chased the suspect to a room at the Mason Inn located at 9735 Mason Montgomery Road.

Deputies located the suspect there and took him into custody. During their investigation, deputies discovered he had also used a rear door to enter the Waffle House at 9725 Mason Montgomery Road and attempted to commit a theft offense inside.
