WAYNE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Two people are dead following a Sunday night pursuit in Clermont County that ended in a crash.

The wreck happened after an official with Ohio's Department of Natural Resources attempted to stop a 2005 Saturn L300 driving near Stonelick State Park around 7 p.m., according to authorities.

The driver of the car, 36-year-old Paul Chisenhall, of Goshen, fled southbound on State Route 727 and lost control. The vehicle went off the left side of the road where it struck an embankment and some trees. It then continued across the right side of the road.

Police say Christina Singleton, 31, of Newport, Jason Wright, 31, of Martinsville and Charles McMullen, 32, of Williamsburg were also in the car.

Wright was sitting in the back seat of the car and was not wearing a seat belt. He was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.

McMullen also died at the scene. He was sitting in the back seat and was wearing a seat belt.

Singleton and Chisenhall were both flown by UC Air Care to University of Cincinnati Hospital Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police say alcohol and speed appear to be a factor in the crash.

According to court documents, Chisenhall, who was driving the car, has been convicted for driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs in the past. He was found guilty of driving under the influence in 2002 and 2005. He was also charged with driving under OVI suspension in 2012 but was convicted of a lesser offense.

Wright, the backseat passenger who was ejected and killed, previously served jail time for two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide in 2008.

Lt. Wayne Price told FOX19 that the crash is being investigated and they have yet to determine what led to the ODNR official pursing the car.
