Ticket sold in Ohio wins $122M Powerball jackpot

Posted: Updated:

CONNEAUT, Ohio (AP) - Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in northeast Ohio picked all six numbers correctly and will claim a $122 million jackpot.

The state lottery office says the winning ticket in Wednesday night's drawing was sold in Conneaut (KAW'-nee-awt), about 70 miles northeast of Cleveland on Lake Erie.

The winner picked the numbers themselves - 9-25-42-55-57 and Powerball 14 - and overcame 1-in-175 million odds in matching them to the drawing. The winner now has 180 days to claim the prize.

The retailer that sold the winning ticket, True North, gets a $100,000 bonus.

It's the third time the winning ticket has been sold in Ohio since the state joined the Powerball game in April 2010.
